Tucker Capital serves as an advisor to the American Council on Education on their collaboration with ACT and the American College Application Campaign.

August 2016 – Tucker Capital was an advisor to the American Council on Education (ACE) in developing a collaboration with ACT around the American College Application Campaign (ACAC), owned by ACE. ACAC is a state-by-state campaign aimed at helping first-generation and low-income students navigate the college admissions process. It started out in North Carolina in 2005 and is now a national network in over 4,000 schools throughout all 50 states and has impacted over 250,000 students.
This alliance represents two organizations coming together around a shared interest in promoting broader college access. As a result of the collaboration, both ACT and ACE will aim to more effectively support underserved learners by connecting with students earlier in the college planning process and by developing additional pathways into college and career readiness. Furthermore, the partnership will provide student data tracking in service of attainment.
Louis Soares, ACE’s Vice President for the Center of Policy Research and Planning, commented, “This partnership is a step towards making post-secondary education a realistic and attainable goal for more first-generation and low-income students. Between the local connections that ACAC has worked for over a decade to establish all over the country and the contributions of ACT’s brand, data-driven research capacity and market leadership, this alliance has the power to be a critical resource for the underserved learner.”

Jim Larimore, Chief Officer of the Center for Equity in Learning at ACT, added, "By working together, both ACE and ACT will be able to reach millions of students and provide them with access to information and tools to improve their college and career planning.”
