JASON A. KESSLER: PRINCIPAL
Jason brings to Tucker extensive experience negotiating and structuring deals involving intellectual property assets, and providing advice and strategy in connection with major multi-media projects. Before joining Tucker in 2010, Jason was an attorney at Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz, PC, advising clients in the advertising, entertainment, media and technology industries with respect to risk management, intellectual property issues, regulatory compliance, operational policies, and social media marketing.
Prior to joining Frankfurt, Jason was an attorney at Cahill Gordon & Reindel, LLP where he gained experience in the Corporate Securities practice, drafting and negotiating financing documents in connection with high yield securities offerings. Jason also worked in the legal department of HBO, providing support in connection with development and production of HBO original programming. Before his legal career, Jason was at the ground-floor of AirClic, Inc., a fast-growing software start-up, leading projects in marketing, product planning/development, research, and operational strategy.
Jason has been published in multiple law journals, including the Cardozo Arts and Entertainment Law Journal and the Columbia Journal of Law and Social Problems.
Jason attended Columbia Law School where he was recognized as a James Kent Scholar. He earned his BA from Princeton University with a major in psychology and a certificate of proficiency in computer science.
