CRAIG L. BATTLE: MANAGING DIRECTOR

Craig Battle, the founder of Tucker Capital Corporation, has spent over 33 years in the investment banking business advising corporations on strategic financial issues, acquisitions, divestitures and capital raising. In 1982, he left Wall Street and founded Tucker Capital Corporation to bring a high level of corporate finance expertise to middle-market companies that were not getting the attention of the major NYC firms. During the early 1980s, he worked with a wide range of companies in industries as varied as transportation, specialty chemicals, restaurants, cataloging, publishing and medical devices. In 1989, Craig led Tucker into an alliance with a leading consumer catalog consultant, Jim Alexander, and created Tucker Alexander to provide strategic advice and M&A services to the consumer catalog industry. Since that time, Tucker Alexander has expanded its services to a wide variety of multi-channel merchants (online, bricks and mortar etc.), business-to-business catalogs, online retailers and large media companies.

Since the formation of Tucker Capital Corporation in 1982, Craig has advised some of industry’s most prominent companies, such as Amazon, Disney, Williams-Sonoma, National Geographic, Saks Fifth Avenue, Brooks Brothers, Playboy Enterprises and Coldwater Creek. Craig has been a frequent speaker at Direct Marketing Association (DMA) Conferences, has spoken at the New England Mail Order Association (NEMOA) and has been a guest lecturer, on several occasions, at New York University’s Leonard Stern Graduate School of Business. Prior to founding Tucker Capital, he was a Senior Vice President at the investment banking firm of Warburg Paribas Becker/A.G. Becker in NYC and was a group head responsible for financing large industrial projects within the corporate finance department. In his early career, Craig was a Managing Director at Wm. Sword & Company and a Senior Loan Officer at The Fidelity Bank in Philadelphia.

He earned his BA at St. Lawrence University and graduated from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton Management Program. Craig is currently on the board of Gopher Sport, The Rocky Mount Cord Company and serves on the Finance Committee of the Farnsworth Art Museum. He is a runner, kayaker and avid fly fisherman, who travels the world looking for “the big one!”.
